What Does the following neck X-ray Indicate?

What does this mean please and how can I avoid further degeneration at a desk job - I am 53yo female with constant chronic neck pain exacerbated by work at desk - a neck Xray on 12/12/2016 showed narrowing of the C5/6 disc space and osteophyilitic lipping is present at these disc margins, also slight encroachment on the excit foramina between C5/6 bilaterally.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The neck X-ray report indicates that there is cervical vertebrae erosion with cervical spondylitis.
You need to wear cervical collar with undertaking traction of neck along with intake of analgesic medications. Undertaking physiotherapy would also help.
Kindly consult Orthopaedic surgeon in this regard for appropriate evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
I find this answer helpful
